Abstract | This report provides a summary of progress to date on the study of academic success in high-needs schools and is intended for use by the research team and IES staff. The report begins with a history of the project?s origins and a brief review of pilot study findings. The Introduction concludes with an overview of the conceptual framework and the research design. The following section summarizes project accomplishments during 2004 in three areas: sampling, data collection, and measurement viability. In the third and final section of the report, a brief status update and steps to project completion are presented. (Contains 4 tables.) (ERIC). |
